on the taxes part for canada, drive it up and dump it on private property. Then some person might just pick it up. and some how cash flows across the border to your hands and its done. The person who finds it can part it out or build it up. Now how this person claims its his, well thats the local bylaws.

I love that idea  I have the perfect field for you to leave it in at the farm.....

lol get me a NY state dealer plate and a good excuse on why I'm coming across the boarder and get me a ride home and we got a deal. Also, some Canadian beer and trailer park boys would be appricated as well :)

I would have been interested but unfortunatly I can't legally use that engine. Cali has a very special law stating that if you're swapping engine into your car, the engine MUST be from the same year or newer. That's why I couldn't get that 300 dollar R a while ago. I need a 98' or newer.

I agree that it's gonna be a great loss. Why don't you cut a deal with the shop it's staying at and you part it out and give them some cash in exchange for the parking spot?

how would they know

They have ways of finding this stuff out and I'm not taking any chances. Besides, I want an engine and all the components, nothing else and I'm not interested in parting out a car either.

I hope the lawsuit goes well for you. But again, parting it out will get you the cash (maybe in a month). You just need to find a place that will hold on to it for you.

Sure, but thats minus the ECU and the volans/tires.

I didn't realize that my post was still getting some attention/ball busting.

-Ryan

So is it a deal? You can keep your ecu and the wheels, i will bring a set of wheels and a ecu to get this car running and up onto the trailer. then let the parting begin.

your excuse is you taking your gf to niagra falls or toronto jazz festival. Download the free tickets online so you have some proof. Have a friends contact for you to stay at his place. And look at train prices for the way back, ohhh wait, you could say on the way back your car broke down and the mechnic took the car as repayment for a loaner car you used while in the country since the car was to much to fix and not worth enough. And some mechnic could maybe write up some document stating this. And use several small electronic payments to transfer the money across the border to someone bank account.
