They triple checked and told me it was never made. I'd love the part number if anyone has it.

Tell them to check Volvo Accessories. I too ask them about this and they told it would cost $240. Crazy expensive. I would rather go OMP for $150.

Ok, while i still worked at a volvo dealership:

We were putting a 04 v70r in the showroom that was 5 feet off ground level using ramps with a 5inch gap between them and showroom the dealers owner ripped of the exhaust, mangled the plastic skid plate, and bent the driveshaft, scraped the front bumper and broke the skirts.

A 01 XC70 got traded in with 30k and never had a oil change, one of the other techs thought that an oilsystem cleaner that said right on the package "Not for Turbocharged engines" put it in and ended up killing the turbo on test drive, everytime the car built boost it spewed white smoke like a crop duster, hence it got its name the "cropduster". volvo ended up paying for a new engine.

A 1985 244T got traded in, only had 40k miles on it and ran awesomely, but was very rotten, I was fucking around with it (1st and second burnouts through garage) and a brake cylinder broke and i ended up putting it throught the closed garage door.

A customer bought a 04 s60 t5 on a monday, on wednesday it was back on a wrecker covered in mud, stupid bastard drove it into the water trap at his golf course. car needed new engine, and interior, volvo replaced all parts and gave him a new car...

2001 maya gold s60t5m sat on lot from late-2000 to june 04, never sold, wasnt ever moved or test drove, salesman finally went to move it, put it in gear and the tranny blew the minute the clutch was released.

(this one is from when my brother worked there)

Prestegius local judge buys brand new 244dl, gets drunk and wraps it around a pole in reverse, claims the car did it all on its own, sued volvo, bought a bmw car sat until 2005 with only 400miles.

They gave me a 17year old right out of highschool a 98 s70t5m as a demo. i commenced to beat the living hell out of it.

Brand new lincoln towncar fell off lift and got destroyed.

owner of dealership proved that you could roll a xc90.

this place was also a merkur dealership in the 80's buryd behind all the abandoned customer cars(next story) is a 88 xr4ti with 1200miles, one day it was decided to put it on the lot... fucking thing started right up after sitting 15years...

Customers seemed to regulary abandon there cars after not being able to afford to repair them, such as.

1984 244turbo

1987 745 TIC

1993 944T

1981 242dl

1999 s80

A salesman ended up buying a flashgreen 60r, got drunk and fucked up the wheels and tires rediculasly.

(was told this, didnt work there at time)

when the 1999 s80's came in one was being PDI'd and its airbags went off for no reason breaking the service managers ribs.

all i can remember...for now

i'll publicly laugh in anyone's face if they actually read all that.

When the new s40t5 came out i went to the dealer to check it out. I asked the guy on the lot if they had any T5`s with the 6 speed gearbox and he kept telling me "they don`t come with a 6 speed" to my reply was "yes they do i just read about it today".

So we walk over to the three they have on the lot and they are all the 2.4 model. I tell him "this is the 2.4, do you have the T5?" to his reply " This is the new s40" . So i told him thank you and started to walk away when he gave me his card and wouldn`t you know it....he works for a acura dealership over the hill and was only there cause they were shorthanded.

I had the parts guy at the same dealership refuse to make me a copy of my key. He told me "volvo keys are made outta steel and don`t ever break, goto a lock smith and have them cut you one"

One of the service writers at a indie volvo shop here told me that 740`s didnt have torque rods and that they only came on 240`s. Then they wanted to charge me $2000 to change some suspension bushings.
