sks40
Time for brake pads... I have been using the Volvo OEM pads but am considering going to some other brand. Dust is annoying but not a strong driver. My latest OEM pads do squeal and I can't seem to get them to quit and now they are sufficiently worn. I am always game for some performance gain. I have OEM type Brembo rotors that are still ok. Any suggestions on pads? Any comments on EBC Greenstuff?
MarcS
I just installed the PBR Metal master semi-metallic front and rear on my V70 XC. I had a few squeeks while bedding in when they were warm, but after about 500 miles they quieted down. They have a much better feel than the OEM pads, and I love the fact that there is almost no dust. I am using stock rotors, and this is the second (and last) set of pads for them. EMDII
I have EBC Grenstuffon the 855, and only some dusting. I have Mintex Reds on my TT, and they also dust little. The EBC feel good on the 855.
partsguy
I just put EBC Greenstuff on 2 weeks ago, very pleased with them. Go ahead and do it, you won't be sorry. Break them in properly as well, a half a dozen 50-0 stops, let it cool and you're ready to go.
