96PlatinumEdition850
Okay my friend has a 1999 S70 what all would need to be changed in order to swap in a 15G? If we've got the turbo/wastegate what outlet would it need to be. I know 15G come with conical and straight, is the 13G conical or straight? After it's bolted up would there be a problem with the ETM? I know it'll still only boost stock boost for the 13G but could we go get it reflashed for a 17PSI tune at Speedtuning with no problem. Bigger injectors by anychance? Thanks
prasamin
13g is straight. your 15g is straight. it's all bolt on as far as I know.
96PlatinumEdition850
Thank you Pras, you wouldn't happen to be able to tell me anything more on my misfire problem if you go to my topic and tell me if those plugs are good. Thanks.

96PlatinumEdition850
Thank you Josh, that'll make finding a 15G for it easier actually. I think there are more 1995 < then >1995

I think there are more 1995 < then >1995That will actually make it harder. There were never OEM angled 15g's that I am aware of...only conical/straight flanged. Not sure if you could change the exhaust housings on the 15g and 13g to make the 15g angled.
96PlatinumEdition850
Man I was really hoping Conical was just a fancy name for angled. I guess this will prove a nice weekend project of sorts.
prasamin
wouldn't make it harder. you can have an angled outlet 15g.when removing the 13, just remove the turbo, not the exhaust housing (loosen the vband holding them together).swap on the 15g turbo with the exhaust housing off of it.now you have an angled outlet 15g no need to swap out the dp or change anything. 96PlatinumEdition850
Sneaky. I was thinking it could be done considering the 15G is really a bored out 13G. Thank you Pras, and Josh.

Thank you Pras, and Josh.easy swap man, it's just one extra step...remove a 10m nut holding the vband on, and you're money

96PlatinumEdition850
Performance might not be too much since it'll still be stock boost on the GLT but it will allow us to do bigger and better things with the swap. Goodluck on your quest next summer.
