Est Ignition Coil Vs Stock Coil

Recommended Posts

My ignition coil died and I was wondering if it was worth waiting for the est coil or should I just go and get the stock coil. Does anyone have the EST coil? EST coil will work out to be about the same as a stock coil volvo stock is $172 est coil is $129 plus overnight shipping

like he said buy a Blaster SS coil for $40 bucks at Summit. I contacted Frank at EST about getting a coil wire and instruction sheet. If you want I will look and see if I still have the sheet and I can mail it to you. I did have some important steps on it about what to do and not to do. I can also e-mail some pics of how I mounted my coil.

U can get a MSD Blaster SS coil for 29 bucks on ebay, it includes an MSD boot and connector so that you can modify your stock coil wire to snap right on to the coil.

I see alot of them for MSD . Do you know the part # or what we use to find the right one?

This is the one I have used, I made a platform by using half of the original bracket and then just some sheet metal and a bit of fab work to mount it solidly in the stock location
