scorpiusb
I just replaced the bulbs in the stereo that an "expert" had already tried to replace. He tried to get the center one out without taking the printed circuit board out. He broke the PCB, lost one of the bulb holders and broke another one. I ended up soldering across the break in the board and soldering two of the bulbs in.They all work great. Now the fun part. Two of the old bulbs had blue rubber diffusers "much like a condom" on them, making the light cast a bluish tint. My girlfriend saw them and wanted to see the difference between the "blue" light and without. As soon as it got dark, we went out and looked. Guess wich ones she likes. You got it...the freakin' blue ones. Any body know where I can get them? Radio Shack dudes scratched their heads. I used them 25 years ago when I worked in the shipyards but haven't seen them since. Thanks in advance for the help.
scorpiusb
Oh, and I got the info to replace the bulbs here. My radio only has 5 bulbs as opposed to the 6 stated in the instructions and the faceplate comes off, then the PCB comes off.....
