Fs: 15psi Upsolute Chip

i paid $300 + a stock chip for mine, so i'm setting the price at $250 + a stock chip.

chip originally bought from another member on here, a long while ago. no problems with it at all, install is a snap and the gains were immediate.

reason for selling: my dad found out about it :( my mechanic let it slip that i had chipped it so the jig is up. sad to see it go, but at least my gas milage will go up since i wont be able to hit 17psi any more :(

tuned for 15psi on stock setup (i believe). obviously the best thing to do would be to have it reflashed for your exact setup, but i never bothered and i loved having the extra boost.

i'm not sure exactly how i wanna do the exchange, i'm fairly sure my roommate (ericF) has a chip i can use while this one is in transit.

posting in this thread doesnt mean anything, PMs will be the only accepted 'in'

have your dad drive it stock, then with the chip, and see if he changes his mind.

i wish that were an option :(

he's not one for appreciating something like that. all he sees is potential for it to explode, nevermind i've been driving at 17psi for the past year and had no problems whatsoever

two questions

1: how do you install it and remove the old one?

2: whats the diff. between this and 17psi setup? Just boost? timing? Can i keep my mbc and run17psi safely with a 16t straight flanged turbo and 3inch exhuast.

i really need to move this :(

installation is VERY simple. take off the ECU/TCU cover under the hood, located near your passenger side headlight (might have to use a screwdriver to pop off one of the clips) pull out the old one, put the new one in, and put the cover back on.

at least that's how i did it.

2) i have no idea. my car is pretty much completely stock except for the chip. it would spike up to 20 psi with no problems, and hold around 15-17 regularly. in 3rd gear it would hold 18psi until the shift with no problems.

like i said, ideally you should have it reflashed for your exact setup, but it WILL allow more boost than a stock chip.
