Hi TDS,

Remember that when your turbo arrives in the UK you will have to pay VAT and import duty on it. For instance i bought a part from the USA and it cost £400 including shipping. To get it past customs cost me a further £100. So in some instances it will still work out cheaper to buy here in the UK.

A word of caution - when buying stuff cheap from the USA, be aware that support will not be anywhere near as good as sourcing from the UK. If you have a problem with your turbo and need quick tech support or need to speak to someone face to face, you will struggle if you import from the USA.

My advice would be to only import from the USA if you know what you are doing, ie you know exactly which turbo to go for, how it should be installed etc etc. If you get it wrong, it will cost you more than if you sourced it in the UK.

A very valid point Adam, but if he is planning on this turbo, it already sounds like he has a game plan going :)
