pwebb
To be honest I think this is bad, it´s a big nono to use grease on intercooler hoses. Wait til you get some boost.../Mikeit's not grease! astroglide is water based. it should evaporate.
Swedish Mike
After his soapbox rant I'll hazard a prediction that he'll never reach the boost levels you're pushing, but that's just me. I used Dawn dishsoap to get mine on, and I'm running 15-17PSI sans issues. T-bolt clamp, FTW!True, but that´s a rule you learn the hard way, a IC hose blowing off at high boost can kill your turbo. I still think it sucks, I would use hoses in the right diameter./Mike

Most grease´s leave a slippery surface and that´s bad./Mike

Über855R
When I read the title I thought you were rolling your fenders. Um seems like you had one hell of a time with your kit. I usually use a little spit as lube trying to get the stubborn coupling on. I guess astroglide works too but I usually use a little spit for that kind of lube too, its easier than looking for the tube. She never minds as long as she isn't dry! :P

CRK
Astroglide is water based and 100% biodegradeable. INGREDIENTS:Purified Water, Glycerin, Propylene Glycol, Polyquaternium 15, Methylparaben, Propylparaben Im not sure what everything is in the ingredients but it is edible so I dont think it will hurt the hoses or the motor.I knew about petroleum products and not to use them on the hoses but I needed something really slippery and safe to use. RussB
and this is exactly why I won't buy them stylin' hoses. If it doesn't fit initially, there will be problem down the road with either tearing or tghe hose popping off.I hope Sig reads this and fixes the hoses! StylinMotors
CRK,Sorry for the aggravation in installing yours. You should not have any problems with it now. the dimensions are exactly the same as the stock OEM hose. However when we got our test car back in this week we took the hose off and measured the throttle body and pipe. We found that the they are approximately 1/8" larger than the OEM hose. The oem hose will go on easier because it is rubber and will stretch more than silicone. We measured a samco hose and it measured the same as ours, but then we noticed the wall thickness was smaller, thus giving the samco hose more elasticity. We are making a new mandrell and the new throttle body hoses will be slightly larger. We guarantee our hoses against all normal wear and tear. MiamiC70
So what do we do with the ones we already bought? I have not installed mine yet and really don't want/need the hassles in installation.CRK,Sorry for the aggravation in installing yours.
