VolvoFan
I finally got everything all doctored up and neatened under the hood. The pipercross filter got busted so I replaced it with a K&N, but it stuck out of the front so I had to fab something different for the snorkel. I also got all the ground wires sheathed and covered, and replaced the wire from the alternator to the starter and the starter to the fuse block... that cleared up my voltage drop issue. Finally, I replaced the intake with a 3" setup using stylinmotors hoses and T-bolt clamps and replaced all the boost/vacuum lines with stylinmotors hoses. Sooo, here's my oldest modeling all my underhood modifications:3" intake, pipercross filter, silicone hoses, T-bolt clamps, battery relocated to trunk, T3/T4 turbo with heat shield, Tial wastegate, RC engineering 550cc injectors, FMIC with hardpiping, Apexi blowoff valve, custom carbon fiber spark plug cover, Ohlins suspension, strut tower brace, grounding cables, poly bushing, etc. This is in performance so I can give some props to Stylinmotors, by the way -Jon

WhiteT5
Damn ME7. Oh yeah, Swedish Mikes knows how to make the N/A cams work on the VVT cars, but I don't remember any specific details.

VolvoFan
external wastegate off stock manifold? got pics? The new turbo is a 5-bolt flange... the flange plate has two separate holes in it... a main hole for all the gasses coming from the turbine, then a smaller hole about 1" in diameter (actually, I flattened it out so it's more like an oval) that runs through a separate pipe to the wastegate. The pipe out the other side of the wastegate returns to the downpipe. In other words, the stock manifold is unchanged as far as the wastegate is concerned.-Jon
