I am curious. If you use the stock wiring, and assuming that you bought a standard wiring harness (Metra or equivalent) you will only drive the door speakers, not the deck or the dash. mAydAy Posted July 11, 2004 Report Share Posted July 11, 2004 i got polk 3way 6x9"s in the rear deck. About 1/2" sticks out front and back from under the grille, can hardly see them unless you really look. The bass on them is amazing, I almost didn't put in a sub because they really threw some bass out, its impressive. They THUMP, as in enough that you can definitely hear them hitting bass from a ways away outside the car. They're free-air mounted, grilles overtop, and bass machines. This was on the stock HU, with all other speakers stock at the time. They'd blow your head away with bass, full mids and crisp highs.
