T-5Bandit
Yesterday, I had my EST FWD Dual exhaust installed. Everything looks good and sounds really good. Not loud, just nice deep tone. Then you look under the car and see the pictures below. They designed it with a longer muffler, so the right side piping is under the frame. The muffler hangs down pretty low and looks awkward, not tucked up neatly like I would expect for a $700 system. Has anyone else installed this system? freeskier8585
you should be able to adjust it by twisting those pipes around
Overboost850
That honestly looks like it would hit a speedbump to me... Exits look good though!
T-5Bandit
you should be able to adjust it by twisting those pipes aroundNope that won't work, no room to manipulate the piping. On the right-side, the end of the muffler is at the edge of the stock opening, then the pipe wraps around under the frame to meet the pipe connected to the cat. That honestly looks like it would hit a speedbump to me... Exits look good though! With the car being lowered, that's exactly what I am worried about!
the underlørd
holy balls that's close.. the rear end looks d-o-p-e tho John!
T-5Bandit
holy balls that's close.. the rear end looks d-o-p-e tho John! It's too close, probably only 4" - 5" on level ground.I love the look and the sound, it's exactly what I wanted. It's just that muffler is a poor design element for a $700 system or any system. I am sure they were compensating for the lack of the extra resonator with a longer muffler. Seamus
Doesn’t look to bad but you must get rid of those pickup truck “U” clamps!! Just sayin!!! :(
T-5Bandit
Doesn’t look to bad but you must get rid of those pickup truck “U” clamps!! Just sayin!!! You don't think the position of the muffler looks bad?I know about the clamps. I will be taking it back to get welded once the fitment is tweaked a bit more. He wants $15 per joint to weld it up (there are 6 including the tips), on top of the $65 he charged to install the system. I will probably take it to a different shop. From the passenger and driver's side? You have a lot more clearance, I want to see how your muffler is sitting.
Texas850Turbo
If you're really worried, you could take that muffler out and have a shop weld in another one in a spot that isn't so exposed....
