patrick Posted July 19, 2006 Report Share Posted July 19, 2006 as some of you may know a while back i was planning on buying a 01 dodge ram 2500 cummins from a friend of my dads.. well after this fell through(he decided he liked it BETTER than his new ram and got rid of the new ram) ive been looking at other options and deciding to lower my price as well. i have found areally good deal on a 99 Ram 1500 4x4 quad cab w/ the 5.9L engine, a few nice additions and 120k miles, in excellent condition. the price is very good and more in line w/ what a college student should be trying to finance. anyone have any opinions on this truck, or engine... my MPG's are going to take a big hit vs the diesel or my current cars, but im expecting that. its between this and possibly a chevy w/ the 5.3L i think most all the diesels are out of my 10k max price range.
