Noahkk19 Posted July 31, 2006 Report Share Posted July 31, 2006 I am SICK and tired of hearing about people with transmission problems. I myself about 2 years ago went through 3 trannies, and why? Because I live in this hot jerk weather with a 10 year old car. I think having a transmission cooler as part of the "stage 0" list is a very vital thing to preach. You are looking at a part that could cost about $75 that will stop the average Volvo driver from having to spend atleast $2,500 to get a used transmission at the least. You never ever hear anybody on these boards with a transmission cooler talking about having transmission problems and like I remember hearing 5,000 times, heat is the number one killer of transmissions. People are so quick to get their cars pushing out extra horsepower but all that power just goes right to these weak jerk transmissions first.
