hombre
Unbelievable. For one, that I need a wrench to get my filter off. And two, that the dealer wants $50 for it. If someone can verify that the one I have linked below will work, I will tell the dealer to suck it.wrenchAlso, is this the filer insert I need for my 99 V70 XC? I'm looking at the one on the following page titled 70 series turbo 1999-2004 part #WS1275811.filterThanks for any info. Greatly appreciate it. dmelviØØ7
That filter will work for any Volvo 99 and newer with the exception of the new 40/50 series cars. Prior to that all cars going to back to at least the 240 used same canister style, part number 3517857
MadeInJapan
My experience is that fcpgroton and ipd's is the same wrench. I've bought both and they both slip some. The dealer's is sturdier and won't slip. I make due but can't get a torque reading off of my wrench due to the slippage. The service dept. at my local Volvo dealer says that they don't have that problem with theirs innitially, but have to replace the one they use about every 6 months as it too begins to wear and slip. I'd say that they go through hundreds of oil changes before this happens. Would almost be worth finding a huge socket to use instead of these things, but I'd say that they would cost you the $50+ or so unless you can find one at a trucker's garage sale or something.
