kilen
I've been chasing vacuum leaks all over my 96 850 turbo, and never thought of measuring it. What type of meter are you guys using to measure it? Thanks for the info!
pfeener
I use a vacuum test guage I bought about 40 years ago. Mine reads about 20 - 21 inches of vacuum at the intake manifold tap at idle.

Zappo
You should be around 20 inches at idle, warmed up and the AC off. I run 21.5 inches at idle, at the manifold.
sion
Good advice, thanks again guys.My vacuum hoses/PCV are due for attention. I've just done the lot on my R, so it will be interesting to see what that reads in comparison.Thanks.
MadeInJapan
RussB...very nice set-up. Very nice looking! I bought the same Autometer gauge (3301? isn't it) and am waiting for my pod to install it into my S70....can't wait!
sion
You lads are very fortunate to have those gauge pods! They are not readily available for the RHD vehicles down here.I've had to 'settle' for an Autometer 3303 boost gauge mounted in a single cup close to the spot where RussB has his in the pod.Every turbo should have one. :)

TM850R
Mines funky. At idle and in neutral itll be at 15-17. Then when I come to a complete stop at a stopsign or light, itll read around 12. Worst part about it is that Ive replaced nearly all the lines too.

fromtheshadows
Mine is also funky. I have a "vac" line on my boost guage and it sits right there most of the time at idle, I cant remember but its probbably 15-16. when I let off the throttle after acceleration it goes to 20. Also runs great.
