Low Boost Possible Cause ?

i was changing out my worn out vac. hoses and took a good look at my rubber intake hose and found a crack in the crease of the hose. i cant really tell if the crack is all the way thru or not but i installed a MBC a few days ago and i can only get about 10psi tops out of it. im guessing it may be opening the crack up under boost.

does anyone know where i can get a hose like this and not kill my wallet ??

also... if anyone can identify the part in the pic below with the nipple with no hose going to it. does anyone know what that part is and is a hose suppose to be hooked up to it ? its located on the drivers side front underneath near the front tire... thanks for anyones help..

In your first pic take off the hose and look at it from the inside to see if the crack goes through. I have a crack there to but it doesnt go through to the inside.

In you second pic it is for the cruise control and should be that way I believe. That pic has been posted about before and you will find more on it in a search.

Stylin Motors says hes going to start selling that hose in your first pic individually in around 2 weeks so you might want to think about that. Its a silicone hose he sells.

ok... thank you very much james... i appreciate the info. i dont think the crack goes all the way thru. i have to go get some clamps so i can remove the hose and replace with american type clamps. im planning on replaciong all the hoses sooner or later anyways.

my cruise works ok so i guess nothing is wrong ( sheww gotta break on one thing )
