trance42
OK, i ordered a harness from erie. Suposed to be a 95 harness. I expressed the fact that it had to be a 95 harness repeatedly. I start to install it. What do you know no EGR valve hookup. WTF I continue on because ive already moded the harness for the manual tranny. Everything is the same except 4 things. 1 2-3 conectors were different. I wired in the conectors from the old harness. same color wires. 2 There are 7 ground wires on the 95 harness that conect to the block by the starter(4 black 3 brown). 6 on the new one (4 black 2 brown) and they conect to ground by the ecu. 3 No EGR valve hookup 4 No hookup for part (idk what it is) under fan cover on the driver side. conects to the manifold with two vaccum lines.Everything seems to work fine except the fuel pump. it usually makes hi pitch noise and isnt doing so.Engine cranks but never starts and doesn't smell like fue. Is there another fuse some where in the car for the fuel pump besides the main fuse board.ANY IDEAS?-TimEDIT- one more thing.. the white wire that comes out of the harness buy the starter. im prety sure its conected in the rite place but could someone tell me where it conects. azinwa
Look at the connectors for the fuel injectors, all five should have Green wires, key on power, and five Grey wires with differant colored stripes that are controlled by the computer. It sounds like you were shipped a non SFI harness, if thats the case it won't work.B K
