Ive seen that before. Notice the Muslim still argues. That just tells you how he thinks and how their education and religious beliefs teach them that only their way is correct. Not that all Muslims are like that. Just the radicals.

Yea I know they aren't all like that. I spent a little time in Qatar for work and it was one of the best times I've had in a foreign country.

I understand her point of view, but when she completely exonerates every religion besides Islam from crimes against humanity, she is completely wrong. Christians kill people, Hindus kill people, Buddhists kill people too. Yes, Islam has a "backwards" way of life, but who are we to tell them that they need to start living in the 21st century?

It's like going to a Catholic priest and telling him to screw a prostitute (though it might actually happen these days). It doesn't make any sense. These people live in poor, mostly aged condition, and I have to believe that the majority of them live there by choice. It's something they were raised to believe in, something they've adapted to. The ones who want to get out of it work hard, make their way, and do what they want in the world.

Just like the Catholic priest, these people have a choice, and they choose to live in that era. If we are built around freedom, why can't we let them be free how they want to be free?

Obviously, the ones who terrorize others are the ones who need to be eliminated, but it's a good likelihood that if we just left them all alone, in "their" Middle East, to live as primitively as they wish, they may just not give a shit about us. It's hard to swallow, but if we just left them alone, maybe the world would be peaceful. However, due to the resources these nations possess, we disguise our need for these resources as a fight for freedom of Islam.

So, now that they bomb us, and we bomb them, who has to stop first? I think it has to be us. We should stop, leave all these places, and continue our security measures until we figure out that these people are fine in their isolated worlds.

I also agree with some of these points, but there is honestly no way we could just "up and leave." If your enemy immediately left after fighting, would you not take the first opportunity you had to retaliate? Also, the radicals are still trying to attack us! Remember what happened the other week? They were headed for the US. This shows that they are still, after 5 years, not showing any signs of stopping. If they want this to end, they would have surrendered a LONG time ago. When Bush said, "i declare war" or whatever, they should have just said "well that was a good game guys...it was fun while it lasted". Because seriously, the US vs. a 3rd world country??? where's the logic in that?

EDIT: Dammit i hate this forum <_<
