98V70BASEBOY
Before I begin, my thanks to a great board chock full of tips from some great folks! And, of course to our "Hosts" for creating such a terrific site! Here's my issue (mostly covered in topic description):I find that I'm putting about a pint of coolant a week, especially during the really cold months, so I pull up the driver floor mat and there is a definite sign of a leakage, probably in the heatercore area.My qeustion is:Other than the heatercore, heater control box (I guess the part that connects the metal tubes to the core), or the "O" rings that seal the tubes inside the box, is there anything else I should think about or rule out first, prior to beginning the final process of diagnosis? (I have not taken the lower console apart to see exactly where the problem might be)I figure I'm looking, at the very least, at needing a new core, but I thought I'd float the topic out here for any feedback. I've searched and found some info (most of which I think I mentioned above) I just want to see what others have found out, and to minimize the suprise factor of this task. Thank you in advance for your input. BB :D
