I can replace one of those in 20 minutes.
gr8gatzby
well i couldve done it faster by dropping the car off directly at the Volvo dealership, but they are such absolute freakin brokeback morons that i avoid them at all costs. so i take it to carmax(directly across the street), who then take it to Volvo of Charlotte(day 1), who then have to order the order the part(day 2), who then install the module(day 3).Carmax also deals with the extended warranty company, who by themselves are a regime worse than that of Sadam and Pol Pot combined, but nonetheless get them to pay, saving me the hassle of multiple phone calls to people whose entire goal is to obfuscate and declarify and not pay for jack. so yes, 3 days is excessive, but it's a great excuse to drive my g/f's del sol, with whom i am quickly falling in love (the car, that is)... gr8gatzby
Extended warranty companies are the worst ever. Period.i agree, but it's better than no warranty at all.in the past 11 months/30k miles that i've owned the car, they warranty company has paid out over $11k in repairs, i've paid out about $500 in deductibles, in addition to $1k of the $3500 tranny. it will be very interesting to see what fails next, i don't think there's anything aside from the sheetmetal that isnt brand spankin new by now. MarcS
I just sent mine down to Victor. After 100k miles it had developed a broken circuit board!! (don't ask me!)The repaired module is on it's way back. Total with shipping both ways will run me around $160. I'm way out of warranty and just the dealer part cost is shocking!
