About 2 weeks ago my air conditioner system developed a problem. My air blows out cold when set to cold and warm when set to warm but it only comes out the 5 vents that are on the dash. This doesnt vary if the ac setting is switched to the floor or on automatic or on defrost for the front window the air just blows out the front vents. Guest AlvinL Posted August 31, 2006 Report Share Posted August 31, 2006 Suggest diagnostics done on the ECC to find out where the problem is. You don't say what year is your car. 96 and newer needs a VST but on earlier models, the diagnostic port by the washer fill is where it's at for self diagnosis. MrWinkey Posted August 31, 2006 Report Share Posted August 31, 2006 could be a damper motor or bad ACC unit assuming it is automatic climate control and not manual. You will need Volvo or an independant with the proper scanner too read the codes for the ACC.
