Modus
I guess it dried out and got real brittle? This one only lasted for 3 years But it's much easier than stock to replace.
RussB
I've read that the poly can "dry out and harden" due to heat...I rekon it's true! :o

Big Will
The IPD and Eurosport poly mounts have a warranty so if that happens they give you a new one and they're about $26 but I'm sure the QBM one is superb.
drlava
The derlin QBM one is made of delrin, or acetyl resin (A hard plastic). So engine vibration will be transferred directly to the body with little damping. I'd just get the lifetime warrantied ones, it's easy to replace and will probably result in a smoother feel to your car, and less noticeable shifts.Edit: DELrin
