Tadek
Custom FTW!!! Cheaper and better. Don't pay for the name.~MikeYou guys in the US are really lucky with all the custom exhaust shops around! The Heico exhaust is €610, which is $775. There is no way I could have a custom stainless exhaust made for this price in Germany! Should I make one myself? Maybe that's the best option.Cheers,Tadek

Tadek
Not many welding shops in germany? No, not too many. The problem is that everything has to be TÜV approved. Therefore approval of custom exgausts is very expensive. This is the reason why for the past years very few people were interested in something like a really custom made exhaust, as it was not possible to get your car registered with it. I thought it is similar with all the emissions stuff in CA?! Well, the TÜV thing is a little less strict now, because Germany had to approach the other EU countries regulations. Therefore there are a few companies offering custom exhausts, but these are quite expensive and more expensive than a brand name exhaust for sure. Labour costs are extremely high in Germany! I think that even if I decided to get a custom 3" exhaust from Ferrita in Sweden it probably would not be any cheaper than the Heico one, no?One more thing that come to my mind: The Heico exhaust looks extremely similar to the original Volvo Sports exhaust. Is it possible that both are from the same manufacturer (which seems to be Remus in Austria)? Only difference is that Volvo has two mufflers while Heico has only one. Tadek
Have a look at both of them:Volvohttp://img227.imageshack.us/img227/668/auspuff16dg.jpgand Heico:http://www.heicosportiv.de/nextshopcms/cms...=60&shp=
///RonalT5
from what i understand there are no performance gains from their dual dual exhaust. looks for the chicks.hey thats the new Ft w==FTC=for the chicks.mikeBut, I was talking to a guy about his mustang V6 and he says that he would get more hp with dual because it breaths more. Is that just because it is a V6 and not transversly mounted? He did mention an 'h' pipe which would defeat the purpose of two headers on each side with their own exhaust outlet. Any knowledge on that? Sorry for disruptng the thread. ~Mike
