drlava
should be possible, it was for the 900 series here:http://www.brickboard.com/ARCHIVES/1999JUN/20036464.shtml
Ivanfbi
and where is the transmitter block in 850s?
hoyt
and where is the transmitter block in 850s?Between the glove box and the passenger door. Take out the glove box, there's a black box then screwed into the side. Take it out, and open it up. I did it in my 850, took a tiny wire, and ran it from the glovebox back to the backseat, and up the pillar. Seems to have helped quite a bit. I soldered it into that box somewhere, but I don't remember what I soldered it to, or why I picked that spot... I'm sure I did it off of something I found here though.--hoyt
zimmy77
Hold the remote to the underside of your chin and press the button. Trust me, it works! I can get a good 100' out of it. B)

drlava
yeah it works, I concur, but it would be nice to just extend the range so you don't have to.
the underlørd
is there an advantage to having your car unlock from a farther distance?

TM850R
is there an advantage to having your car unlock from a farther distance?Sometimes with the remote you have to get up right next to the car to unlock it. At that point its better to just use the key. Its more of an advantage to have it lock from far away. No one wants to walk back to the car to lock it. javadoc
is there an advantage to having your car unlock from a farther distance? I can't see the advantage. But having the car start from 400m away, through the office building. Now that's something I enjoy, all year long.
