maiku
the slotted part should be "cutting" into the padshard to describe
sion
I've just fitted slotted Brembos to my R, so here we go:The end of the slot nearest to the outer edge of the rotor should stike the pad first.Hope that helps. ;)
Kid_Clean3
In your picture, the driver's side is on the left \\\\ & the passenger side on the right ////.
erikv11
In your picture, the driver's side is on the left \\\\ & the passenger side on the right ////.Actually in the picture, the left side is two frot rotors, and the right side is two rears. The way sion wrote it is good, the rotors that are tilted up are a front passenger's side and a rear driver's side.

MadeInJapan
Mike, now to me, this looks backwards from the description above unless you're going in reverse all the time. Isn't the top of the swirl of holes suppose to hit the brake pads first before the bottom (the part that is closest to the center of the rotor)? sion
That's correct as per description above - the end of the slot nearest to the outer edge of the rotor should always come into contact with the pad first, which creates a cut & clean effect to help the pad/rotor surfaces maintain their efficiency. maiku
i've seen various advice when it comes to cross-drilled only, and cross-drilled/slotted rotors, and slotted alone..
MadeInJapan
That's correct as per description above Okay, so don't know who you're saying is correct. Am I correct or is he correct? As the rotors are on mike's car (picture) and the way the rotor spins, the inner part of the drilled section (closest to the center) are going to hit the pads first with the outer hole (closest to the outer edge of the rotor) following.
