Über855R
I am just wondering if anyone has ran 8.5" width 18's on an 850. Iforged just sent me these wheels shown in the showroom. They were supposed to be 7.5 but instead came measuring 8.5 Iforged claims that they will still fit with no issues and to try them before sending back. I say they will rub on the inside since that is where the extra inch in located. So to recap will an 18x8.5+43 wheel fit an 850 without rubs on a 225-35-18 tire. Will a 225 even fit a 8.5" wheel? This is such a PITA three weeks before nationals.
POOKDIZZLE
8.5" seems MAD WIDE man for the 850 wheel wells, I don't want to burst your bubble but unless you plan on driving in a straight line all the time I can't see you not rubbing BAD :(
Overboost850
I'm reallyy not good with the whole calculating offset thing but when I had pegs I definaely had some room still while running 225s. Not sure if it was a half inch or so but then agin that all depends on the offset. Maybe one of the wheel gurus will step up and tell you for sure. Good luck
Gregg
which part of the wheel did you measure? if you measured outside edge to outside edge and it measure 8.5", then the actual wheel width is 7.5".

That would be the easiest fix to just be able to measure differently but I did measure the inside mounting surface.
prasamin
it'll rub and kill unless you roll and stretch.as much as you're trying to make yourself feel better and excited about having them, it will be beneficial to wait and get the correct size.be patient young jedi

The extra inch is on the inside of the wheel. Anyway thanks Pras I needed to hear that.
CAKES855
ya I'm with Pras on this on, no way in hell would they fit unless u stretched the living crap out of those fenders and used some decent spacers
Greenchunks
Since youre spending so much on the rims to begin with, get the right size, thats why you got custom rims, so they're exactly what you want. Just wait a little longer and itll be better in the long run.

It'd look sick and we all know it. But for easy, painless, less money, send those bad boys back
fromtheshadows
Either get the right ones, or spacers and run 245's (thatd be cool) in which case you probably will also need to roll. Would be sweet with a wider stance and fatter tires.
andrewclee
I am sure the rears will fit no problem with that offset or a small spacer, it is the fronts you will have to be careful with. I don't beleive the full 1" will be on the inside only, since the offset is from the center of the wheel. I have 18 x 7.5 with et 42, almost the same offset. If you calculate it, it will be 1/2 inch more on the out and inside edge. With that said, I would say do a fitment test with just the wheels and see if it hits anywhere. Yellow95
If it is a wagon, I would bet they will fit fine on the rear. Tell them to send you 2 7.5's and roll with the staggered look. I wish I would have done that just for aesthetics.Gary

If anything it would be better to run the 8.5 front and 7.5 rear but that is just silly.

The biggest concern I think you have is will it hit the strut tubes, most likely yes. You will need spacers, probably 20mm for the front. I say, jack the car up and test fit.
