Texas850Turbo Posted September 19, 2006 Report Share Posted September 19, 2006 Well, if you can find some way to fit those wheels, either by spacers+rolling or some other method, that's a whole inch more on your contact patch, which would help a lot with traction and roadholding at the track and on the street, especially paired with some good rubber. You'd see less of the traction problems other people are having with 7" and/or 7.5" wheels. I say try and fit those honeys....great traction, bada$$ stance... what else could you want? gattigang Posted September 20, 2006 Report Share Posted September 20, 2006 Will a 225 even fit a 8.5" wheel? Yes it can work but I would advise you not to. There would be almost no sidewall and running it that way would leave you no protection on the outer rim. Paying top dollar for custom made rims should be to your spec not theirs.
