Owned
so i'm assuming they'll fit in 70series front doors, correct?850 will have to be modified a bit?I have never installed one of these in an S70. I would imagine that some slight modification would be nessisary, to accomidate the large magnet. However, these aren't made to be direct replacements like the typical entry level 2-way drivers are. I know that the mounting dept is aprox 3.5 inches. That would be the first thing to check in your car as that is a bit more difficult to overcome than just removing material to make way for the magnet. Also, if you're looking for info on the 850 install, check the A/V stickies. CAKES855
are they dual 4 or dual 2 ohm?
Owned
dual 2.However, they can be wired to present different loads. If you had only one driver per channel, you can wire the dual 2 as either 2 or 4 ohm. A pair of drivers on a single channel would be limited to 2 ohm, however. You can technically wire two drivers on a single channel to .5 ohm, but it's unlikely you're amp will enjoy that. :)
