MadeInJapan
IPD used to sell a small device that you just push into place under the dash and it would indicate boost levels for a P2 car (newer S80/X70/S60's) but did away with them because they ran batteries down. I would think that the company who made them would have corrected the problem or one could add a switch to turn it off when the car is off. Anyway, I have looked for who made these but can't find much info. Here's an advert. some time ago for what I'm talking about.Does anyone know where I can get this? Of course, I would rather not pay what the pictures says it costs. This would look so much nicer than some pod stuck on the A-pillar or somewhere else near or on the dash. Thanks in advance for any info others can provide. JMK33
First time ive ever seen it. Very cool idea...if IPD got rid of it, there must be a good reason, unless you make a switch to work with it.
Evil E
I remember this. IPD had a good reason for discontinuing it; but I don't remember why.

turbor850
anyone else know why?I think Johann knows why, something along the line that everytime you started the car you had to turn it on in the fuse box or re plug it in, also it only gave boost, no vacuum . . and maybe some other reason
leurven
Still, for the right price, it may be nice to see the boost pressure in that location for the oem look.
pocket penguins
Still, for the right price, it may be nice to see the boost pressure in that location for the oem look. its cause it drained the battery power cause it stays on after you turn your car off

Overboost850
I don't know what happened to the product but do a pillar or column mount gauges look that bad? I've had at least one aftermarket gauge on the a-pillar of every car I've owned and there are ways of making it look stock through gauge choice and pod molding. KnightInAVolvo
Guys he just wants it... Its a sick sick sick idea for those of us who either A) have an anal wife who will not allow her husband the freedom... get pulled over alot and dont wana give the cop one more reason to think your a punk C) dont want the fag in the newer ford to know any more than he did from seeing the volvo badge.... Let me know if you find it. It would be hella easy to make a switch for on off. And i would buy it myself (even though i have the pod...)

I also drive it when we go somewhere with the family. I've already "snuck" in the K&N air filter and IPD sways with HD links. I didn't have to sneak in the folding mirrors...she actually liked them! I drive the '98 S70 T5 and she hates it...partially due to the pod...LOL What tends to happen is I inherit her old car when she gets a new one. I suspect this will happen in a couple of years and my son will get my S70. I'm just trying to get a jump start on some mods that make good sense to me.
