jdlc
I'm in the market for new four rotors. I'm considering Volvo fronts for $55 apiece and Zimmerman rears for $39.50 a piece at FCP groton (just regular ones with no drilling). My questions are:1. Are drilled rotors really good to warrant the additional $20/rotor2. If drilled/slotted rotors are the bomb, should I consider getting the ebay rotors which are even cheaper (around $110 - 170 for four plus shipping) and apparently zinc coated (do these coatings even last?). Would appreciate feedback from those who tried the ebay rotors as well as those who are using drilled/slotted rotors.By the way, my rotors (original Volvo) are really worn at 60k miles, but there are absolutely no vibration nor braking issue. The only thing is, when I let the front pad get really thin (no thicker than the metal holding the pad), the rubber boot of my calipers got loose and the pistons corroded on both fronts, so will replace them when I replace the rotors. TM850R
This might help a bit. Read through that or search for some info. Theres plenty out there.http://volvospeed.com/vs_forum/Need-New-Br...eks-t59450.htmlRaceconcepts.net have decent rotors (from what Ive heard). Their standard rotors are drilled and slotted.
