98 V70 T5m Or V70r

Looking to replace my wagon, obviously. I'd like to get another v70 t5m, but I know I'm dreaming as they are hard to find. I'm also would love a silver '98 V70 R with dark interior, or a '99-'00 R for under $8500. It would be spectacular if the car is unchipped, but I realize that's a far fetch on this board. Body must be very good, some dings are ok, I can live with bumper scuffs.

If you are in the NorthEast or SoCal, it would make it all the better.

Why do you want to replace your beautiful wagon? (and how much are you going to sell it for?)

I did drive a 1998 V70 T5M over at H and I Motors in La Crescenta (volvo specialists). I think it's been listed on Autotrader since early August for $8500, but he would have sold it to me for $7500. The bad news is that's it's white on tan, and has 133k. Has perfos and maybe a rear spoiler--I can't remember. One owner too I think (I saved the carfax on my computer if you want it). Real nice car, just out of my price range at the time.

Mine was totaled. haha yeah I saw that car. If it was dark interior I think I could deal, but that's a brutal color combo. What shape is the car in? I'm on the east coast visiting right now so I can't go look at it. Know anything about its service history?

You will not find much better at that mileage. Like I said, it seems to have been one owner--they lived out in Simi Valley area and probably racked up the miles commuting on the 118 (which would mean less clutch wear). The car drove well and had lots of power (I peeled out accidentally on the test drive:) Clutch takeup was fine.

Interior was decent--Otto (the dealer guy) hadn't done much but vacuum it (didn't even get under the seats) and it looked good. Average wear on the driver's seat and steering wheel.

Just remember, it's easier to swap interiors than it is to swap trannys, right?
