Greenchunks
You can get brand new Volan replica's on eBay for aroud 600$ I think. The pegasus rims will work fine on the car, you could even get 18's if you wanted for about the same price: heres some good prices on pegasus rims: http://volvospeed.com/vs_forum/and036200-O...ate-t60504.html for the rims, search for this seller "wheelsandcaps" and he has replicas available. Also pegasus rims can be found on eBay from seller bostonvolvoparts
JackS
I dont know if the pegasus are for me. While my son is mostly driving the car now it does go into SF and SF has a lot of potholes. Also the R rides pretty stiff as it is. Personally I think I like the volans better. your wheels are pretty sweet. what kind are they. Might come down to getting the silver or darker volans. Are the replicas any good? Greenchunks
I think a couple of people on the boards here have bought the replicas (George/Zappo did right?) and had no problems with them, You can even get the volvo center caps to put in them and make it not even noticeable that they aren't stock. My rims are 18" Moda R6's which are no longer made but can be found every once in a while. 18's really dont ride that stiffly, and Pegasus rims are much stronger than Volans/Titans when it comes to Potholes/bending frpm what I've heard. JackS
UPDATE. Spoke with the adjuster today and I am not sure whether they are going to repair the car or total it. Last week I was under the impression that they were going to fix it. But I guess she was only giving me a damage report and hasnt checked on the value yet. So far they are up to $6k worth of damage and the body shop wants her to come down and look at the driver side fender being pushed back some how. I dont know at what price the car will be totaled but I would imagine its either 75% or 80% of market value what ever that is. so will see I would hate to see it get totaled as it doesnt fit into my mind of what a total should be. One thing good is that its not a $40,000 car with 25,000 worth of damage and they want to fix it. that is not a car I would want to keep.
