boostwagboy
i waxed my car on wednesday. and now seeing it in bright sun i have noticed the whole hood is covered in swirl marks. it almost looks like tiny scratches in the paint! those weren't there before! and i wax the car about every 6months or so and never noticed it!. i did everything by hand. to apply the wax i used a little spong thing that came with the wax i bought. then waited about an hour-and-a-half and wiped it off with a cut up old plain white t-shirt. real soft and cheap. but how do i get rid of these disgusting swirlmarks?thanks a lotmatt

Mike H.
Just so you know that you will never be able to get rid of swirlmarks as good as using a polisher. Scratch X is a good start but be prepared to go at for a long long time.
PharmD
If you have swirls after you waxed, then they were likely already there and you just waxed them in. I recommend a good Pre-Cleaner/Swirl Remover and THEN wax it again. You'll notice a difference if you do it right...a BIG one.Stephen
JoshV70
Polish with a buffer/rewax. Also helps to use microfiber towels, as well as halogen lights so you can make sure you have all the swirls out of the paint.
TM850R
Yeah definately use a buffer. Its gonna save you so much time. I also recommend used a Carnuba Paint Cleaner. That also will bring out the best for your paint. Then polish and then wax.
leurven
Definately go with a variable speed buffer. The porter cable is a great tool I've heard.
