How Do I Get Rid Of Swirl Marks

question: if i were to clay bar and do a 3 step wax.....do i clay bar first then do the 3 step. or do the first step then clay? etc....

by the way, its the mothers 3 step wax

Clay first. Claybar takes EVERYTHING off the paint; strips wax, removes tree sap and tar, bugs, etc. So it'll take off the first step of the wax just as easy.

if i remember correctly, 1st step of my 3 step wax is to remove all the stuff off the paint. since im gonna clay bar it, that means i can skip that step...correct?

I'd do it anyway. Think of it this way...why would you seal in dirt and other objects when you can remove them all?

I just used Meguiars #1 paint cleaner, followed by #2 polish and finally Gold Class wax applied with my orbital buffer. Mmmm, jesus the C70 and ML look good!

There is a 3M professional swirl mark remover which also does wonders.... I think it is avail at most auto supply stores.

I just did the same thing. Mequiars FTW!! Their paint cleaner (step #1) is ok but i prefer a claybar
