Amp

erm, voltage? more of it is always bettar, too!

Seriously though, you'd just check to make sure you have the right power in the right place. If you don't care enough to bypass the amp or do some poking around, there's not much that can be done. I have a little $19 meter from Rshack I Carry with me, up to 30A on an inductive clamp, plus regular V/A/Resistance measuring. It's good enough for most of the stuff I do in the car.

Sounds like a short rather than a faulty amp or head unit. I would check your hot wire leads to see if they are touching metal or if your ground is loose; this sounds more like your problem.

just get an aftermarket headunit. you'll need to rewire the car tho. hav circuit city do it. ur speakers will sounds the same if not better than the day they rolled off the floor.

Riiight... Not only is the Volvo amp more powerful than ANY H/U out there... Nevermind, I won't even continue. He got his system working.

Dont you just hate it when people post things that are no longer relevant to the thread because they are too lazy to read it all first?

But reading all that is SUCH a pain in the ALL GLORY TO THE HYPNOTOAD! it's just so much easier just to read the first post or two, and then post what you KNOW the answer is.

Seriously Dude, if you want people to pay attention to what you're saying

#1 Proper grammar / spelling. Occasional mess-ups are OK, but it has to read like English...

#2 Pay attention to what the hell's going on

#3 don't insult people who point out you're not following #1 & #2

I pulled the stereo out, checked all the wires, pushed them in and the problem went away :D

Connections, connections connections I always say. 9/10 times, they're the problem rather than the actual hardware failure itself.

Glad you got it fixed.
