Whole Lap Of The Nürburgring

We filmed a lap last weekend...the cam is shaky and generally crappy but you can see somewhat whats going on

Cam car is Emiel's 19T 850, i'm still on the 15G and with inferior suspension. Later in the lap my brakes were cooked and I took it easy in traffic :) Not a fast lap but nice to watch Emiel's sideways endeavours at Adenauer Forst

Very nearly crashed at Flugplatz due to bad judgement going over the steepest part of the crest :(

right click, save as (and make sure you have divx installed or you only get the sound)

How bout them sunglasses

That girl in the passengers side looks horrified

I'm pretty sure that's his girlfriend and I'm sure she's used to it  .

Rule of Life #6652: If you can find a girl who'll ride shotgun as you man-handle your car around the world's most famous race track at high rates of speed, keep her.

She likes going around the Ring

I'm running Koni yellows 100% front 35% rear and Bridgestone S-03s. Emiel is running Ohlins front KW back and some Pirelli tires.

My car was also throwing pretty big flames but the cam was too bad and usually too far off to catch any. However you can see some small ones at Schwalbenschwanz if you go slow motion

962kbps here... <_< Keep the girl :P

EDIT: just watched the video.. who was the 850R in front of you? And also how is the Ring run? Can anybody just go there and run there car around the track, cause i see alot of regular cars too (in other videos i've seen)

I was the car in front, like i said :P Film was made from Emiel's car.

The Ring is basically a toll road, any registered car can get on it on the open days (which arent thàt many though)

How much does it actually cost to lap there?

depends how you look at it.

Singe lap is 16€.

4-lap ticket is 56€.

8-laps are 108€.

However, you also spend per lap 10€ fuel, close to 10€ tire wear, at least 5€ brake pad wear on my car and i wont mention added stress on other components

When all is said and done taking the 850 around the Nordshleife costs around 50€/62$ per lap if all goes well

i would go there every day for that price, all i've done is a crapload of autox its fun but i always wanted to do a road course. Almost went to seabring not to long ago, just a ghetto road course in florida but its like 350 for the day or something like that and thats not including wear and tear...
