Harve
Put together a tool kit, make sure spare tire is properly inflated and jack is in car. Take a gallon of 50/50 water/coolant and a quart or two of oil. Enjoy the trip!
bmcintyre
ensure that your XM receiver works. Oh wait you meant mechanically...............dude I just drove one almost a thousand that had no timing belt cvhange and was at 77k. just don't go all speed racer on it and you'll be fine! and...check your trans fluid
AaronD81
Depending on how remote of a location you're going to I think you're worrying too much. If the timing belt was replaced only 13k miles ago the serp belt should be fine. I'd take the other suggestions of making sure you spare is in good shape and take extra oil, but I'd sat the best thing to do is drive cautiously and conservatively. Your chances of getting into an accident or a flat are greater than breaking down.

rp850
Check your intercooler hoses and maybe bring along a few hose clamps.HelloI am preparing for a 3000 mile round trip to Eastern Europe from England. javadoc
Its a life saver. Actually, that's a great idea. A roll of duct tape got me about 100 miles into Whitehorse one winter when my exhaust broke on my VW, and I had to make a hasty repair on the side of the road in sub-zero weather.Stage 0 is meant for road trips, among other things. Love your car, it'll love you back.

PharmD
Drag radials & air tools! I'd honestly say all that you're doing and be sure to bring some coolant & oil aside from being sure everything is cool that's already ON/IN the car before you leave should put you just fine! Have fun!
Guest Guest
I'd take a spare radiator cap.
Matts 850 GLT
Thanks everyone.Duct tape and cable ties, so simple and basic and yet I never thought of them. Will change rad top hose and replace all hose clips, get a new expansion cap and use the old one as spare.May as well change thermostat as the one I have is three years old - I took it out of a previous car to save money, sad or what??Tires are on the listThanks againMattps Girlfriend sounds like fun especially those eurochicks, but Mrs Matt might not approve. Chopper
Don't be too paranoid. With the duct tape you can very temporarily fix coolant system hose leaks, as well as vacuum leaks and a few other things. If your car is in good shape and you inspect the hoses and find all to be well, don't worry about it.
