Notice that there are two connectors on the wiring harness that came with your new stereo. Both of these will connect to the two plugs going in to the back of an SC-816. With a Volvo amp, the smaller of the two connectors (for the speakers) is connected to the amplifier, and then run back up to the back of the deck via a 10-pin connector. Simply reach back, find that second connector going to the amp, unplug it and plug it in to your aftermarket harness. The amp now just sits there, and the sound is fine without it. $400 for a rewire, saved. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
