dkdevin Posted October 24, 2006 Report Share Posted October 24, 2006 My father-in-law has a 1999 S80 and a CD is stuck in the 3-disc changer. He's wondering how to get that out. Can anybody point us in the right direction? If there's not a manual eject on the front of the unit, I'm assuming that it has to be removed to get the CD out. SkyWriter Posted October 24, 2006 Report Share Posted October 24, 2006 Is this a do-it-yourself job or something more involved than that?i don't have a 3-cd changer in my car. but usually there is a small place you can stick a needle or pin in to manually eject cd's. however, i didn't have one of these places on the 4-cd changer i had in a PC once when it got stuck. i had to remove the changer and open it up to get it out because the mechanism was jammed hard. PharmD Posted November 1, 2006 Report Share Posted November 1, 2006 If you pull the HU out, you can probably see what he was talking about on the side regarding a "pin hole" to insert a small object that manually releases the mechanism.
