Cardinals4505 Posted October 30, 2006 Report Share Posted October 30, 2006 I need a radio code for:Sc-811 Premium soundSerial #: B50174641Oh and for those who can't get to a Volvo dealership in hundreds of miles, thanks for helping us out...Also, i am installing an HU and am thinking about replacing the 3.5 inch dash, 5.25 front doors, and rear speakers. What are the ideal size for infinity kappas in the rear, and is there any wiring that will be required or can i just drop them into factory holes, etc. Do i also need an antenna adapters for the HU? Owned Posted October 30, 2006 Report Share Posted October 30, 2006 Most Kappas are going to be 2 ohm drivers. You are going to want 4 ohm, unless you have an aftermarket amp that runs at 2 ohm. Two sets of 4 ohm 2-way drivers is what you're looking for if you are just running them off the HU. A single 2-way driver replaces both the dash and the door speakers. It can't supply as much as they could take, that's true, but more importantly you're eventually going to cook the internal amp.If you put a 2-way driver in your front door, you won't need anything in the dash, no matter what setup you use. If you have to pick either rear door or rear deck, the door is better, in case you choose to run a sub in the trunk at some point. Both 5.25 and 6.5 have worked in the doors. If you run into something that doesn't fit, a quick MDF baffle will likely be all that's needed solve your issue. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

You tell them, they give you the code. If they say you need to come in, say your really busy and won't be able to come in until the weekend and it would be a big help if they could just do it over the phone.
