pfeener
I've had this problem before. Your problem is your pads. Go with the genuine Volvo pads and any rotors you like (not that other brands of pads won't work, but I know Volvo's will work). You'll have lots of dust but the brakes will remain smooth. elfnmagik
After a little searching I finally remembered the pads I bought from FCP that are on now. Rofren. Rotors are Balo. I also checked the hub for runout several months ago and it was well within tolerance. The new setup will be the above linked x-drilled rotors from Ebay (which I think a few of you have and have had good luck with) and most likely volvo pads. I'm still considering the Hawks for roughly the same price, but you guys got me a little worried. Anyone found a great price on the Volvo pads that might be the deal breaker for me? elfnmagik
Went ahead and got the Volvo OEM pads. I'm sure this will be a good combo if not a little better than stock. BTW, these guys rock.
kilseany
I warp rotors all the time too. and I do everything by the book.
Mesoam
I had that same problem with eBay Brembo rotors and Ebc greenstuff pads. I did everything by the book as well, done many brake jobs before, but they warped in no time. I'm like 99% sure it was the pads. Now I'm on Zimmermans with PBR Ultimates ... I have a very, very slight warp but it's only noticeable at high speeds. Next time I'm swearing off drilled/slotted rotors and getting solids.ah yes, followers come one come all, learn from your past experincesOEM size rotors where never designed to be drilled or slotted
elfnmagik
The ones presently on the car are standard rotors.
