SkyWriter Posted November 9, 2006 Report Share Posted November 9, 2006 And to say that the gauge will not hurt you in an accident .... kinda depends on the accident.I get a lot of requests for moulding pods on pillars for S60's, 40's and a few 80's, but the liability scares...even if its not the fault of the driver of th car that has a moulded pod by me. Its a conscience thing too...i don't know... you ever been in an accident like a front end collision? i have been in several (no i wasn't stupid it was always the other guys fault) stuff goes everywhere. your glasses fly off your head, all the crap you throw in the back is now in your lap. just the added weight of the gauges in the pillar cover is going to probably rip it off the pillar, so put a restraining harness! i'm not saying you're wrong to be scared of airbags, i'm saying if you open it up to everything you're already into liability. now stories about airbags cutting little kids heads off in the passenger seats scare me too, but seems to me either you do it or don't. SOMEONE can get hurt even without the airbags and blame you, or not. it's business, you lay it out for people to see, and they buy it or not. get insurance either way.
