Marzocchi
http://www.boost-engineering.com/It's a local company that opened about 3 years ago. They specialize in VW tuning. The owner of the shop has a TDI wagon with 300+ horses, a twin Turbo VR6 with 800hp (fastest VW in North America, running low 9s) and his daily driver is a 350hp 2.0L turbo 91 Jetta (sleeper).I never cared to meet him about the Volvo because I was told that if you don't have a VW or Audi, he won't even check at your car. Fortunatly, he is local and on his page I noticed that he tunes Bosch computer. He is also a Garett dealer.I met him and we talked about future development for my car. He told me: "Let me drop a GT28 in her and tune her for 500hp so the S60 guys will come crying for more performance". Basically he was very interested to help me. I visited the shop, asked for an engineering internship for next summer , he opened my ECU and he showed me his 15 000$+ programmer hardware that he uses to write bosch ECU.Now for prices: ($CDN)600$ to tune my ECU for any specs, any turbo75$ to balance the 16T I am rebuilding1200$ for a GT28300$ for a FMIC with some mandrel U pipesWhat do you think? Marzocchi
A GT28 will never bring 500..I know. I didn't care because my plans aren't at 500hp.Maybe he was talking about another turbo while I had the GT28 in my hands.
BlackT5
A GT28 will never bring 500..You beat me to it Your motor will also self destruct long before 500hp.Prices sound fair, but expectations are unrealistic.
Mesoam
prices sound a little too good to be true you might want to get those written up on an invoicePS: do you work for Marzocchi???
Boost3237
GT28 even with the biggest housings will bring 360-370whp and thats pushing it ! big time... you could get a nice 350whp tune with a gt28 that would be pwn4ge !!
maiku
350whp on stock internal:blink:
Greenchunks
Lol, yeah that was the first thing I though when I read the 500hp on the GT28, 400whp is close to the limit of a 3076 even. The prices look good, especially if its those goofy canadian dollars. As far as getting work done from him, yeah parts and labor seem cheap so go for it, but dont believe any claims that are made about the power youll be making, and he might need to do a little research on your car before slapping a turbo on it and tuning it. prasamin
350whp on stock internal I think you're still on crack....350 crank hp is not that hard if tuned right....whp may be harder, but is possible on stock internals....i've seen it. CAKES855
prices sound pretty good, I would also get them in writingIve personally seen a .70 trim(compressor side) GT25R do 400whp, granted it was damnnear out of efficeincy it still did it

Mesoam
the main reason for stuff not lasting is not being tuned ;)
