brr2f
can anyone help me find the right sized replacement tweeters that fit in the dash on a 1994 850? please let me know if you can help me out
Bing_0
i personally would forget about the dash speaker, get a good set of speaker in your door and your car will sound better...but if you really really wanted dash speaker, you shold be able to fit a 3.5 in there, or a tweeter.b
potroast
it's a 3.5"/4" square. You're better off not using em. I got some braxials (not a typo) in the door, and I don't miss the dash at all. I may be doing the CDT Image Enhancment Kit, however, and the dash is a good install location for that.
V Tuning 850
For the dash I think they are 3" maybe 4" at the most, but what you should do is get a compnent set, and put the real small 1" tweeters in there. It will sound much better.
potroast
for a component set, you want the tweeter as close to the midbass as possible (which is why I use braxials)putting the tweeter in the dash is certainly possible, but is less than optimal. Bing_0
isnt it great when a company makes a bridge mounted coaxial and call it somehting else? like a braxial?Personally, while I think CDT makes decent sounding speakers, they are a bit over priced and their marketing is ridiculous...i would say go out and check out their super duper wonder 60 db/oct image raising crossover, and see where exactly they get that from but i certainly agree with the point source idea, keep the two sources together...b
