KS_R Posted November 17, 2006 Report Share Posted November 17, 2006 So, since no one wants to throw together a midwest volvo meet; i guess i will.Let's do it in January, you guys pick the weekend.Kansas City sound good for everyone?We can do the plaza thing, if you do not know what the plaza is go here.This is not a midwest only thing, if you want to have a fun winter road trip or something this would be a lot of fun. We can also do dyno pulls at a couple local shops, I know there is a shop that has three pulls for fourty dollars on saturdays.And of course we will get some famous Kansas City BBQ.Please discuss......... You would run I35 the whole way. Not to bad. I can get there in under 2.5 hours and to the twin cities in under 4 hours. I would rather do that drive then from the cities to Chi town. I did that a few months ago and it sucked! Took close to 6 hours, with a 2 yr old in the back seat...I would be down for a meet in KC if I can get my buddy from Independace to bring his 850R. I will keep checking this thread, but don't rely on me for a date to meet. I need to meet some more Volvo guys to se how you guys have addressed some different issues with the cars... Then a photoshoot sunday morning before everyone heads home. Let me know soon, so i can free up the weekend. Benjam83 Posted December 1, 2006 Report Share Posted December 1, 2006 Well I know on the first of January, Hangoverfest is held at Cordova Dragway near the Quad Cities in Illinois. I'm definitely going as I should have my car running perfectly by then, no idiot lights or anything. They usually have bracket racing and test n tune. No big deal, basically just a chance for people to get their drag racing fix till the beginning of the season. Thinnk it'd be cool if there were a few others there.
