bogelo
I just got this code 2-2-5 and I know it is a/c pressure sensor signal. But I don't know how this code came up. Is it because of low pressure?FYI: I just replaced my compressor and recharged the refrigerant. However, the compressor still kickin off and on all the time without blowing any cold air. I believe because there is a leak somewhere in the system. The pressure is getting lower everyday whenever I check it.Is this code 2-2-5 telling me that I have low pressure on the system or something else? Need a guidance on this matter.TIA. Bay13
What is the year and model? The 225 code is stored in the ECM if the pressure is too high above 3100Kpa or too low below -81Kpa. Thats 500psi for the high or -12psi for the low.The sensor is just forward of your low side fill cap, there is a three lead connector on it, make sure it's plugged in and then erase the code and see if it comes back. bogelo
It's on my 1995 850 turbo. The low-side pressure sensor is connected, though. Is the code have anything to do with high-side pressure sensor? How do you check this sensor whether they are working good or not?The A/C has been driving me nuts and I'm thinking about taking it off. Probably it can add HP by removing compressor :-DThanks. DEWFPO
Removing the compressor will not add any HP. It might save a few lbs. but that's about it. DEWFPO

DEWFPO←It does add HP, if you remove the compressor and use a shorter belt it means less resistance on the crank, less engine load. It "should" add HP or torque. Has nothing to do with the low pressure switch up by your fire wall, that LP switch is just that a switch, on or off. The one that sets the code has three wires, and give the ECU a pressure reading. If it's been unplugged the code will set, and needs to be cleared before the a/c will work.
DEWFPO
I beg to differ. The clutch on the compressor freewheels when not engaged, virtually no drag. There's no extra pressure on the crank when it freewheels. If you dyno the engine (before and after), you will not see any gain in HP or TQ at the rear wheels.DEWFPO
