USMC850T Posted November 28, 2006 Author Report Share Posted November 28, 2006 No the jet is transonic, which means it was traveling between .95 and 1.05 mach. It was not supersonic, trust me. The vapor cone you see is an area of extreme pressure drop. It causes the water vapor in the air to condense and form a "cloud". I got a few shots from that series with the vapor cone.
