Asinine Posted December 1, 2006 Report Share Posted December 1, 2006 My volvo love is obviously contagious given that I drive my wagon, my brother is rocking my old sedan (94 850 Turbo), and a good friend of mine just picked up another '94 850 turbo (all black).But, he need a mesh grille, because unless you are old, everyone needs a mesh grille.But the best grille (IMO) is no longer listed with iPd. speedn_j Posted December 1, 2006 Report Share Posted December 1, 2006 i took the stock grill and put aluminum door screen ..glued and formed it over the original grill. then painted it black while still keeping the volvo slash(gotta have the slash it looks bunk without it) this looked pretty descent but was too rice for me. so all i did was just blacked out the stock grill. However, it doesn't say which version is actually being sold there. As you can see from the pictures, CJ's have a different mesh style as well as a flat surround. It looks like the type of thing my friend use to put on his Acura EL with Home Depot chicken wire. I hated the stock 850 grill. However, before I knew that EST had a grill, I decided to pass on the IPD one. It reminds me of things like seeing kids with atezzas on a stock BMW. That grill just doesn't look right on a stock car. That black one looks fine, but the silver one is just pure RICE! Flame away Personally, I like the EST grill much better. It looks outstanding, but definitely not home made. Looks very much like the Audi A4 grill. It has depth to it. The IPD grill is very flat. Or it could just be the combination of that hideous coloured 850 with a silver grill *BARF*To each his own.
