How Do Your Mechanics React To Your Mods?

lol, when I took my car to the track everyone was laughing at my car, it was GREAT. apparently everyone laughs pretty hard at a station wagon as you pull up to stage. As I pulled into the burnout box I powerbrake to about 2k, drop, let it rev, build boost and "pump" the gas, letting out boost every time. Didn't hear much later that night. After my first run 3 guys came up to my car, ecstatic of my win. All of them gave me props and I guess I got a lot of respect.

My 2nd to last run when I was in the lanes waiting for my turn to run I had my window open, some people were standing off to the side and one of them laughs and say "look at the volvo!! haha!" another guy standing next to him goes "yo, shut up, that Volvo is crazy."

Sounds like one of my runs at Louisville. I got beat by about 2.5 cars by a modded LT1 that was running mid 13s in a 1/4, and I was still on a stock chip. Everyone thought that LT1 was slow, so I lined up w/ a Civic hatch some kid had bought that day. He thought it was badass. I smoked him two or three times in a row, and finally when we went back to the main highway area, someone cracked a joke at my car and the kid w/ the Civic said, "hey man, those turbo'd Volvos ain't no joke."

But at least they know ur car is a Volvo...mine's debadged so people that don't know European cars (which is most everyone) thinks it's a Jetta. I really couldn't count on my hands and feet how many times people have asked me about my Jetta.
